Intro
Government Vocational School (Girls) Tando Allahyar was established in 1986, since established it was working under Technical Education, Government of Sindh & after 2010 now it is running under the umbrella of Sindh TEVTA, to promote vocational training in Dress Making & Embroidery Courses and from
- 2015 we started work with NAVTTC.
- In 2016 we have started Fashion Designing, Beauty, Skin & Hair Styling and I.T Sector Courses.
- GVS Girls is only “Accredited Institute” out of 69 schools working under the STEVTA.
- GVS Girls in only “Accredited Institute” out of 04 institutes working in district Tando Allahyar under the STEVTA.
- After successful training 40% youth employed/ self employed in their fields of training.
Objectives
There are many Objectives which we are working on, but some of those in our to-do list are:
- To functionalize the institute with STEVTA regular of institute management, trained faculty and industrial collaboration that ensure to produce entrepreneurial oriented human source which serve national and international socio-economic environment with high skills and ethical standards
- To provide demand driven industry specific technical education & training
- To develop linkages with the industry through imc for training & assessment of the quality of education.
- To organize opportunities for the continuous training of the faculty & staff of institute.
- To organize & conduct seminars and workshop in order to provide the updated knowledge to the students in their respective fields.
- To focus on the character building of the students as to play vital role in the development of society.
Aim
Some of our aims are to:
- Train women to earn jobs and to get rid of poverty.
- Enabling poor women's skills to make their permanent income source.
- Through education and training, make the way of social change in people.
- Support for women's hand made products at local available markets.
